John Kerr has been with York
since 1988 after working three years in the Triangle’s
residential real estate market. A native of Goldsboro,
NC and a graduate of the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill, John has developed a broad base
of knowledge of the Triangle commercial market.
John currently handles York’s accounts with
Pylon Commercial Park and York Family Properties.
He is also active in tenant representation and
the purchase of real estate by owner occupants.
He specializes in office, warehouse and flex-space
project with an emphasis on West Raleigh and the
I-40 corridor. John is an active SIOR member specializing
in industrial leasing and sales. SIOR (Society
of Industrial and Office Realtors) is the preeminent
professional association of commercial real estate
practitioners. John has served on the Board of
Directors for the Triangle Commercial Real Estate
Association, TCAR, which has over 500 members.
John is active in a variety of community affairs
including fund raising for the Central YMCA and
serving on their Board of Advisors. He also serves
on the Board of Directors for the Contemporary
Science Center, is active in raising money for
the Boys Club of Wake County and giving at the
Leadership Level to the United Way. John coached
youth sports with the Raleigh Park and Recreation
Department.
